GoodWe and solar energy market trends for 2022

With global operations, the company expects to exceed installations of 240 GW
Manufacturer predicts a promising year for the solar energy sector

GoodWe predicts a year of growth for the global solar energy sector. The photovoltaic inverter manufacturer expects improvements due to reduced supply chain issues.

Shen Rong, vice-president of the company, assesses that 2022 will be a year of opportunity for the market and will be focused on R&D (Research and development) projects for the photovoltaic sector.

Currently, the company has a strong presence in Europe and in the Brazilian market the company's growth reached 100%.

The brand recognizes that this year the focus will be on R&D, to bring product confidence to all customers, as well as intelligent energy management systems to build soft power, which will be one of the company's fundamental competencies.

The executive also estimates that with the launch of new polysilicon lines for wafers, solar cells and panels, that use new technologies and therefore may vary throughout the year. “It will be promising. The carbon emission targets of foreign markets and the construction of renewable energy bases in China, the demand for solar photovoltaic energy will be very strong. We believe there will be an increase from 30% to 40% for overseas installations,” says Rong.

Rong also assessed that the sector had measurable growth last year, not only in Asian countries, but also in Latin America.

GoodWe's expectation is that what happened in the second half of 2020 will happen this year, when people felt the drop in equipment prices and, due to fear of inflation, started investing in photovoltaic projects, boosting the solar sector.

Also according to the company's vice president, GoodWe's investments remain scheduled. By the end of 2022, the company intends to inaugurate the phase II base installation, in Guangde, China, so the manufacturer will reach annual production of 25 GW.
