With the aim of serving remote areas, such as small islands and rural properties, manufacturer Growatt announced the launch of its second generation off-grid inverter, the SPF 3000T HVM-G2.
The equipment has a charge controller with integrated MPPT, AC charger and low frequency transformer, allowing surge power three times greater than the nominal power to support inductive loads and motor starts.
According to the company, the product has market efficiency of up to 95%, combined with a much lower power loss, with only 9 W electricity consumption in economy mode, 70% less than similar products.
In addition, it has a bypass function, which allows the user to bypass the normal operation of the inverter and use grid power, and offers high input voltage of up to 250 V, making installation easier and reducing BoS (Balance of System), the company said.
Another point highlighted is that the equipment can be connected in parallel with up to six units for single-phase or three-phase systems to expand the power capacity to 18 kW.
This product can also work with or without batteries and is compatible with lead-acid and lithium-ion batteries, including Growatt lithium iron phosphate (LFP).
According to the manufacturer, the inverter is also designed with a low voltage disconnection protection function for batteries. That is, when the battery voltage drops, it will first disconnect non-critical loads from the system to extend the backup time for critical loads.
“The Growatt grid-interactive off-grid inverter is the ideal solution for Brazil, at a time of water crisis – a resource that is our largest energy source –”, highlighted Talyson Alves, marketing manager at Growatt in Brazil.
“Our R&D team has brought advanced technologies to this new generation product, making it one of the most powerful off-grid inverters on the market,” highlighted Lisa Zhang, marketing director at Growatt.
“Combined with our wide range of lithium batteries and monitoring solutions, this new equipment enables access to clean, smart, reliable and sustainable energy,” he emphasized.
According to the executive, with solar sources being much cheaper than fossil fuels, the combination of photovoltaic technology with energy storage will allow millions of families to achieve energy independence.

The problem is the price of the inverter, it will be an option to avoid future taxation!
