Hanersun renews strategic partnership with Munich Re and WTW

Munich Re will support 15-year quality guarantees for the manufacturer's panels

A Hanersun announced the renewal of its strategic partnership with the Munich Re, one of the world's leading reinsurers, and Willis Towers Watson, one of the leading global consulting and brokerage companies.

The agreement was signed by Deming Liu, Hanersun Assistant Manager; Sinney Leung, Director of PV Business Development at Munich Re; It is Eileen Yang, Head of PV Business at Willis. 

According to the manufacturer, the partnership marks a moment of deepening cooperation between the three parties and expands Munich Re's reinsurance services to Hanersun's full range of solar products for 2024. 

Under the terms of the agreement, the Munich Re will support 15-year quality and 30-year power guarantees from Hanersun for its modules, mainly covering losses caused by technical risks. 

On behalf of Munich Re, Leung expressed confidence in the Chinese manufacturer's commitment to quality after an exhaustive analysis of its production processes, with the aim of increasing customer confidence in the longevity and reliability of photovoltaic products. 

“Since the founding of Hanersun, Quality has been our top priority. We are very proud to establish a long-term partnership with Munich Re. It not only provides protection to our customers and investors, but also marks a significant step in our success in the global market,” Liu added.

Yang said that, as one of the first insurance brokers to create an energy department, the Willis primarily serves top tier PV brands and is one of Munich Re's largest partners in China.
