A Hopewind, one of the top 10 photovoltaic inverter suppliers in China, recently introduced its inverters adapted to the smart gridHopeSun series 17kW-110kW.

According to the company, theequipment is aimed at commercial and industrial applications in the Brazilian market, meeting the requirements of different types of utility networks all over the country.

“Unlike many other countries, in Brazil, two types of three-phase grid – 220V and 380 V – are adopted, making the selection of a suitable inverter when installing a solar system on the grid a little more complicated,” said the company.

“To deal with this problem, some suppliers offer customized inverters for different types of grid, for example. However, more storage space and cost, as well as increased work for O&M (operation and maintenance) also become inevitable, making it an undeniable issue for distributors”, they pointed out.

In view of this, Hopewind highlighted that the HopeSun 17 kW-110 kW series can automatically detect grid types and adjust power output accordingly, resolving the issue of inverter compatibility with different grids, thereby simplifying the commissioning process.

“For distributors, Hopewind's 'one-for-all' photovoltaic inverter solution can significantly reduce the worry of purchasing grid-compatible versions of equipment, reducing the necessary quantity of equipment in stock and consequently the storage cost” , they emphasized.

Investments in Brazil

Hopewind also announced that it is investing heavily in its service in Brazil. In March, the company launched the new office in Sorocaba (SP), serving as a repair center and spare parts inventory with a local team.

“Offering personalized products and localized services is our main strategy in the Brazilian market,” said Alex Hsu, country manager for Brazil at Hopewind.

“This August, we will present these cutting-edge solutions at Intersolar South America and, with our technical strengths, we are committed to promoting the green energy transformation in Brazil”, he concluded.
