To the Global photovoltaic installations expected to reach between 600 and 660 GW in 2024, according to a recent analysis by Bernreuter Research, specialist in the polysilicon market. Last year, this number was 444 GW.
Johannes Bernreuter, head of Bernreuter Research, said that six of the world's leading solar module suppliers are planning a average growth of 40% this year. These suppliers include Jinko, Longi, Trina, JA Solar, Tongwei and Canadian Solar.
“Even if major players gain market share as Tier-2 and Tier-3 manufacturers struggle in the current low-price environment, new PV installations are likely to exceed 600 GW this year,” Bernreuter said.
He added that the Demand for solar panels is expected to grow in the second half of the year. “I am optimistic that demand will recover in the second half of the year, driven by the record level of module prices”, concluded the specialist in a press release.
