One in each five integrators that has made at least one sale in the solar energy sector in 2023 he had flow reversal allegations in the connection budget on part of distributors of electrical energy.

This is what one of the highlights of the new Greener strategic study over the DG market (distributed generation), released this Tuesday (19).

Minas Gerais, Alagoas and Rio Grande do Sul were the states what, percentage, received more allegations of flow reversal by the electricity distributor, according to the study – which includes 5,474 integrators interviewed in all regions of the country.

Us mining municipalities, about 63% of integrators faced problems with flow reversal in 2023. In Alagoas and Rio Grande do Sul, this index was 46% and 45%, respectively.

According to Greener, 56% of reported flow reversal cases by the integrators who participated in the research have not been resolved. In Minas Gerais, this percentage is 73%

Of those who reported flow reversal, the national average was 12 allegations, while in Minas Gerais this average was double, totaling 24, largely due to the actions of Cemig (Companhia Energética de Minas Gerais).

O graph below shows that 73% of integrators had notification of up to five cases of flow reversal; 12% from five to ten cases and 15% above ten cases:

Since the regulation of Law 14,300/2022, ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency) has received a series of questions from companies and associations in the photovoltaic sector about the performance of electricity distributors.

According to the text, concessionaires are obliged to carry out studies and propose solutions to their customers when a request for a new connection or an increase in the injected power of a power system G.D. (distributed generation) involves inverting the flow.

However, what has been seen is non-compliance with this determination. Many distributors reject projects, but do not inform the consumer about the reasons that justify this decision, resulting in a lack of transparency that has prevented the necessary corrections from being made so that the consumer can generate their own energy.
