A Intersolar Mexico 2022 began last Wednesday (6) bringing together several players in the photovoltaic sector, many already known to our sector in Brazil and others who are being presented at this major event in Mexico.

The event takes place at CItibanamex Convention Center, an extremely modern venue prepared to host major events here in Mexico City. In parallel to Intersolar, two other events complete the schedule of events focused on renewable energy: Aquatech Mexico and the The Green Expo.

Aquatech Mexico

The first event is focused on the gray water footprint, the circular economy in the water sector, the human right to water, energy efficiency in the water sector and smart water.

Today, water is a major challenge in Mexico. O Water Plan in Mexico predicts that by 2030 91 billion cubic meters of water will be needed when only 68 are available.

In addition to being a major challenge, only 47% of wastewater is treated and reused with outdated infrastructure that causes leaks and pollution risks.

The water commission of Mexican Chamber of Deputies approved the proposal in November 2018 to increase the 2019 budget to 52.2 billion (US$ 2.59 billion), an increase of 95% over the previous year.

The Green Expo

A The Green Expo is the main exhibition and congress where solutions and new technologies are presented by ecological and sustainable companies to the public and private sectors, which seek updated products and services, thus creating a sustainable and profitable industry.

The technology and solutions presented by environmental, renewable energy, water and green housing companies are generating economic benefits and are setting the standards for the future in Mexico.

On the first day there was an opening ceremony with the participation of all organizing entities and in all speeches the importance of the solar sector was highlighted so that the world can become increasingly sustainable.

In all speeches it was highlighted that this sector has a lot to contribute to the energy crisis that affects the entire world, showing the strength that the photovoltaic market has in all countries and how much it can grow in the coming years.

For those who participated in Intersolar South America 2022 in São Paulo (SP), on the 23rd to 25th of August this year, the first day of Intersolar México 2022 could certainly be strange, with a very different audience in terms of the number of the exhibition in Brazil, but for on the other hand, a public eager to learn more about the sector, which has great growth potential in the Mexican country.

The pavilion that concentrates the three events together was attended by installers, epcists, as well as companies from other sectors that aim to enter this sector, seeking information about products and technology.

As for the exhibitors, in addition to many already known, it was possible to see many entities and associations with a focus on the environment participating as exhibitors, showing that the solar sector is increasingly focused on taking care of the environment.

According to reports from participants, the current situation of the Mexican government does not prioritize investments in the renewable energy sector, but there is a consensus that regardless of the government, this area has everything to grow in the coming years.

Regarding inverter technologies, the Mexican public is well aware of on-grid systems, but seeks, as seen in other countries, to understand more about the hybrid systems with storage.
