Intersolar South America has been postponed until the 18th, 19th and 20th of October this year. The event was scheduled to be held between August 24th and 26th, 2021. The announcement was made this Monday (1st) by the fair organizers, Solar Promotion International, FMMI and Aranda Eventos.

According to the companies, the continuity of the Covid-19 pandemic, the high number of people infected with the new coronavirus in Brazil and around the world and the restrictions adopted by governments were the reasons that led to the change in date.

“Our highest priority is the health of exhibitors, partners, visitors and employees, as well as the population as a whole. In the current circumstances, we do not consider it advisable to organize and hold an international event of these proportions in August without incurring serious complications and risks for both exhibitors and visitors”, the organizers said in a statement.

“The decision took into account not only the health risks but also our greater confidence that, by October, the vaccination operations that are just beginning will have already had an effect on participation and travel opportunities”, they concluded.

Also according to the statement, the location, numbers and other attributes of the stands, as well as all contractual terms and conditions, remain unchanged. Participants who are interested in participating in the event in October do not need to take any additional steps.

Contracts, reservations and service requests will be transferred to the new date. Those who cannot participate should contact the organization by February 23rd.

Intersolar Summit Brasil Nordeste

Furthermore, the Intersolar Summit Brasil Nordeste, scheduled for March 24th and 25th in Fortaleza, was rescheduled for June 9th and 10th.

“Health, safety and reliability are our highest priorities. The current situation requires clarity, courage and perspective. Announcing the new date today will allow exhibitors, visitors and the media to safely prepare plans. Our partners can trust that we will act responsibly and calmly in these difficult times,” jointly stated Florian Wessendorf, General Director of Solar Promotion International and Daniel Strowitzki, Executive Director of Freiburg Management and Marketing International.
