Intersolar South America debates solar sector topics in online event

The objective of the event is to address the growth of photovoltaic sources in Latin America

The Intersolar South America Digital Xperience takes place this Tuesday (1st). The virtual event that will discuss the latest forecasts for the photovoltaic market in Latin America is organized by Intersolar South America, the largest fair in the photovoltaic sector, and is part of The smarter E.

The online event will be held over one day, starting at 11am and ending at 3pm this Tuesday. Participants will be able to attend several lectures, in addition to accessing, through the event platform, a virtual environment for exhibitors where they can get to know the company, its products and talk to the person responsible for the company.

The objective of the event is to address the growth of photovoltaic sources in Latin America, discuss what the next steps will be for the sector, in addition to commenting on the various applications in which photovoltaic energy can be used.

Among the exhibitors are equipment distributors Aldo, Genyx, L8 Energy, SB Solar and Win, as well as module manufacturer Canadian, photovoltaic inverter supplier Fronius and panel structure manufacturer Solar Group. Check the list of all exhibitors.

For Aldo Teixeira, president of Aldo Solar, the event is important for stimulating the photovoltaic market. “I welcome all initiatives to promote the photovoltaic sector. Aldo will participate in the event with a virtual space, answering all questions and attending the lectures”.

“Canadian makes a point of participating in every event that provides quality information to our customers. Brazil is one of the markets in which we operate the most and we know the country's future potential, not only in products but also in solutions”, highlighted Gustavo Tegon, Sales Director for South America at Canadian.

The event also makes it possible to publicize equipment improvements and new technologies that exist in the world. This is what Guilherme Nagamine, executive director of L8 Energy, highlighted.

“This contact environment between manufacturers, distributors and integrators is very important for us to format solutions with quality and sustainability. Intersolar attracts exactly these sector protagonists to enable this interaction, which is essential for the good formatting of businesses and solutions in favor of a sustainable balance between business and the environment.”

Daniel Paulus, Marketing Manager at Renovigi Energia Solar, commented that the event is a great opportunity to update yourself on the technologies developed for the solar sector.

“We consider Intersolar to be the biggest reference in presenting new technologies and networking in the solar energy market and, although the postponement of this year's in-person fair was sensible, it left the feeling that the market as a whole would be missing something. However, the realization of the digital version generates a lot of expectations, mainly because it provides new possibilities to the market that is eager for a quick recovery.”

The program will feature Brazilian speakers, as well as professionals working in the European market. Various topics in the solar sector will be covered, including the combination of photovoltaic solar energy with agriculture, energy storage and electric mobility, as well as the application of floating photovoltaic plants.

The opening takes place at 11 am with the conference “Solar Investment Opportunities in Latin America”, where the participation of Latin America will be explored, which is beginning to reveal its enormous potential market for solar energy. In this session, five experts were invited to share and discuss their insights for each country. The report's key findings will be presented, including the main barriers to solar sector development and recommendations to address them.

After the opening lecture, at 12:15 pm, participants will have to choose between two lectures: “Agri-photovoltaics: the double harvest”, which will address the integration of agriculture and solar energy, and “Solar PV combined with electrical energy storage and Vehicle Electric: Emerging Trends and Business Models A”, which will explore mobility integrated with photovoltaic sources.

The closing will be with the lecture “Floating photovoltaic solar farms: trends and perspectives”, at 1:30 pm, where the speakers will share their experiences in applying this solution, commenting on the lessons learned and the O&M challenges they faced.
