The Austrian manufacturer Fronius was honored at the Intersolar Award 2020, one of the solar sector's leading awards that honors innovative solutions. The award was given to the company for the GEN24 Plus hybrid inverter, which features an integrated basic grid reserve.

According to Fronius, the product ensures that loads continue to be powered and batteries remain charged in the event of a power outage. This results in a longer-lasting backup power supply and improved self-sufficiency. It also provides coverage of energy needs in normal times with more flexible battery usage.

Alexandre Borin, commercial manager of the Solar Energy Unit at Fronius do Brasil, said that GEN24 Plus inverters are, today, the most flexible and complete solution on the photovoltaic market, ideal for hybrid systems.

“In addition, the equipment also has an exclusive independent terminal, where devices of up to 3 kW can be connected for direct power supply in the event of a power outage, regardless of the battery”, added Borin.

The Fronius GEN 24 Plus inverter has Expected arrival in Brazil in the first quarter of 2021.
