JA Solar becomes a member of the global council for sustainable development

A JA Solar announced that it has become the first private company from the China and the first in Photovoltaics of world to become member of WBCSD (World Business Council for Sustainable Development).

During an event promoted by UN (United Nations) in new York, last September, Peter Bakker, President and CEO of the WBCSD, together with the senior management team, conducted an induction ceremony to present JA with the official certificate board member.

“Amidst the wave of transformation from the global energy industry towards green and low-carbon initiatives, JA Solar stands out as a firm leader in the photovoltaic industry”, highlighted Fernando Castro, country manager for JA Solar in Brazil.

According to the executive, the company is committed in to fulfill yours original mission as a valued member of the WBCSD and in collaborating with its global counterparts to uphold the vital commitment of speed up The transition towards a sustainable world, thereby advancing towards the WBCSD’s visionary goal of 2050.

“With unwavering dedication, we are ready to do significant progress on the path towards WBCSD Vision 2050 and we remain committed to promoting practicality and promoting new developments”, concluded Castro.
