The city hall of Jacareí, a municipality in the metropolitan region of Vale do Paraíba and North Coast, in the state of São Paulo, has an international tender open to hire a specialized company for the design, execution and implementation of a photovoltaic plant with a minimum capacity of 1 MW , which can reach up to 2.5 MW, equivalent to an estimated generation of 270,000 kWh/month.

The future development will be built on public land, with more than 17 thousand square meters, on Rodovia Geraldo Scavone, next to Condomínio Vivva Residencial Clube.

The plant is expected to save 100% in the average energy consumption of the city's public buildings, in addition to 30% in the energy consumption of the municipality's public lighting.

O notice is now available and the envelopes will be opened in a public session to be held at 9:30 am on May 8, in the Bidding Room at Praça dos Três Poderes.

According to the Secretary of Government and Planning, Celso Florêncio, the initiative is part of the Jacareí Urban and Social Development Program (Produs), financed by the Development Bank of Latin America (CAF).

“The city is following the guidelines of the 2030 Agenda, which seeks to overcome the main development challenges faced by the world, promoting sustainable growth until the year 2030,” said Florêncio.
