Jinko presented during Intersolar 2021 its new Tiger Neo 600 Wp N-type module with an efficiency of 22.18%. According to the manufacturer, the Tiger Neo family uses N-type cells manufactured with TopCon technology.

The new panel has a 12-year product warranty and a 30-year power warranty. Furthermore, the module has 0.40% of annual linear degradation over 30 years and first-year degradation limited to less than 1%.

The company is expected to begin mass production of the new panel during the first quarter of 2022. The module will be available in bifacial and monofacial versions.

“With a power of more than 600 Wp and a dimension of 2465 x 1134 mm, this module is the perfect combination to reduce the capex of the photovoltaic system, minimizing the cost of BOS such as mounting the photovoltaic system (monoaxial tracker) and cabling due to lower short-circuit current, reducing installation time, increasing energy yield and reducing the land required due to its greater efficiency”, stated the company in a note.

With the launch, the new Tiger Neo series portfolio integrates three modules of 78, 72 and 60 cells, all based on the M10 (182 mm) cell size. According to the manufacturer, the new Tiger Neo series is based on the half-cell design to reduce electrical losses inside the modules.

Additionally, MBB (multibusbar) technology decreases resistance loss and increases module power and efficiency while maintaining a low open circuit voltage (Voc).

Also according to the manufacturer, the Tiger neo 72 HC panel is the TOPCon version of the Tiger Pro 72 HC, designed to adapt equally to the centralized generation and the DG (distributed generation) market, with bifacial and monofacial versions. With a dimension of 2278 x 1134 mm, this module will be offered with a mainstream power of 560 Wp and an efficiency of 21,72%.

The Tiger Neo 60 HC is capable of providing a high-efficiency solution for the DG market, in the versatile dimension of 1903×1134 mm.

Energy Storage Solution

Also during Intersolar 2021, Jinko presented two types of solar energy storage systems:

  • Off-Grid 3 kW / 7.2 kWh and 5 kW / 9.6 kWh;
  • 3 kW / 7.2 kWh, 5 kW / 9.6 kWh and 8 kW / 19.2 kWh hybrid.

According to the manufacturer, both systems store up to 19.2 kWh, support 6,000 cycles and have a ten-year warranty. Furthermore, the hybrid system has a response time of less than 20 ms.

Jinko highlights that the two systems can be applied as a security energy system, self-consumption, hourly energy cost management (peak hours) and for demand control.
