Jinko signs the largest distribution contract in its history with Aldo Solar

In the partnership, Aldo Solar will distribute Jinko high-efficiency 400W modules in mono-PERC technology

Jinko Solar, one of the largest solar module manufacturers in the world, announced the largest solar distribution contract in its history. The deal was completed by the Brazilian branch with ALDO Solar, one of the main distributors of photovoltaic solar energy equipment in the country. In a press conference today (21/01/2020), the two companies announced a long-term partnership for the commercialization of photovoltaic modules in Brazilian territory.

Globally, Jinko Solar projects growth of 25% for 2020 with the prospect of delivering around 20 GW of power to the market. In Brazil, Jinko Solar's operations began in 2012 and is today the leader in the Latin American (LATAM) market, totaling around 17% of market share.

Executive Gustavo Tegon, Head of Sales at Jinko Solar, highlighted that the Brazilian Distributed Generation market is one of Jinko's largest in the world, and that 2020 will be a year of consolidation and exponential growth for the company in the country.

“We are looking for partners who have the same values as Jinko and who also aim for solid, long-term relationships. We trust that synergy with Aldo, among several other company actions on national soil, will be fundamental to achieving the desired success”, explains Tegon. “Our 400W mono-PERC modules have 19,88% of efficiency, an important attribute in DG projects, in which we are global leaders.”

According to Gustavo, the company, which had 12% of market share in 2018, with the new partnership plans to reach 25% in Brazil by the end of 2020. “Jinko will invest around 2 million in the local economy, including hiring and marketing strategies ”, he added.

In the partnership, Aldo Solar will distribute Jinko high-efficiency 400W modules in mono-PERC technology, in line with the trend of large global solar energy markets, becoming Jinko Solar's hub in Brazil, with local stock and ready delivery of equipment for Distributed Generation. The company is starting to receive orders immediately, with delivery expected in the first few days of February. 

According to Aldo Teixeira, president of Aldo Solar, with the partnership, the distributor will add 2,600 new generators to its portfolio, bringing even more options to its resellers and the market as a whole. “The partnership with Jinko Solar marks another important step for the Brazilian photovoltaic solar energy market with the strength of two leaders in their segments.
