Jinko Solar started the month of June reaching a new world record in the energy market.
The manufacturer achieved a conversion efficiency of 25.09% for its TOPCon N-type monocrystalline silicon solar cell. The result was confirmed by the National Institute of Metrology of China.
This is the third time that the company has broken its own efficiency record in this field in less than a year. Previously, the manufacturer had already reached the marks of 24.79% and 24.9%, in July 2020 and January 2021, respectively.
Jinko Solar reported that it achieved the new percentage index after carrying out a series of upgrades to the cell process and the manufacturing of Czochralski silicon substrates, using a cell area of 267.4 cm².
Other advancements have also been made in the manufacturer's wafer and passivation, diffusion system, surface passivation and cell metallization technologies.
