Jinko Solar announced, this Tuesday (17), that its main operating subsidiary signed a long-term polysilicon supply contract with the German multinational Wacker Chemie AG.

The agreement foresees that the chemical company will supply, from its production units in Germany and the United States, more than 70 thousand tons from September 2021 to December 2026. The purchase price will be decided based on market value.

“By obtaining more than 70 thousand tons of polysilicon from Wacker, we will ensure the reliability of manufacturing our products from a high-quality raw material source, as well as the stable supply of our high-efficiency equipment to our global customers” , said Kangping Chen, CEO of Jinko.

“With the rapid growth in demand for our shipments, we always look for the long term and are working to establish partnerships with the photovoltaic industry's leading raw material suppliers,” Chen highlighted.

According to the executive, this ensures that the company offers customers a constant supply of more efficient and cleaner products and promotes the development and advancement of the solar sector.
