LONGi presents new line of modules focused on GD

Power generation efficiency of 22.8% modules was achieved through technological innovation

The manufacturer LONGi presented to the international photovoltaic market its Hi-MO 6 module, designed exclusively for the global DG market (distributed generation).

According to the company, the module uses HPBC cells of LONGi's high efficiency and, for this reason, achieves a maximum efficiency of 22.8% in mass production.

“HPBC (Hybrid Passited Back Contact) is a new generation of high-efficiency solar cell technology that is unique in its design in that it does not have a front busbar. HPBC cell technology can greatly improve the cell's light absorption and photoelectric conversion capacity by adjusting the cell's internal structure, and can thus effectively increase the module's output power,” the manufacturer explained in a press release.

Also according to LONGi, modules equipped with HPBC cell technology can generate a greater volume of energy under conditions of high temperature and low radiation, and also have better performance in relation to degradation in energy generation.

“In global power generation simulations, Hi-MO 6 modules have demonstrated a significant generation advantage over PERC products with an average power generation increase of up to 10% in typical scenarios,” he said.

The manufacturer also highlighted that its R&D team has been striving to achieve the highest level of security and reliability to develop photovoltaic solutions for residential and commercial applications.

“Hi-MO 6 employs back-contact welding technology, which uses the single-line welding structure instead of the traditional Z-shaped structure to increase the module's resistance to cracking. This revolutionary technological design, combined with LONGi lifecycle quality, makes Hi-MO 6 one of the most reliable PV modules on the market”, he informed.

Hi-MO 6 has four different series: Explorer, Scientist, Guardian and Artist. All use standard size M10 (182mm) and are available in 72, 66, 60 and 54 cell formats.

“LONGi has driven the development of the industry over the years with high-quality technical innovations. The main modules of the Hi-MO series have contributed to improving the global energy structure. Hi-MO 6 is another solid step towards promoting energy equity,” commented Dennis She, Vice President of LONGi.

“LONGi aims to collaborate with more partners to participate in the new energy revolution, provide a clean energy solution that is equally accessible to everyone, and accelerate the energy transformation and development of our planet,” he concluded.
