LONGi launched its Hi-RO Onyx module during Solar Solutions International – the largest solar energy fair in Northwest Europe. According to the manufacturer, the new panels were designed for use in all roof applications.
The maximum power of the module reaches 400W and its efficiency is up to 22.2%. Also according to the company, Onyx modules show excellent energy generation due to their Zero Busbar technology with maximum light capture and low reflection, lower energy degradation (first year 1.5%, linear degradation 0.5%), lower temperature coefficient ( 0.29%/°C) and lower irradiation performance.
The series includes two single-facial module products. The all-black 390W version has an aesthetic that complements typical European house roofs, while the standard (HTH) version with white backsheet maximizes power output to 400W.
“Hi-RO Onyx is a new product in the LONGi portfolio designed from the ground up for distributed generation segments with premium features,” commented Dennis She, Senior Vice President of LONGi Solar. “LONGi Solar now has a complete product portfolio consisting of Hi-MO 4, Hi-MO 5, Hi MO N and the new Hi-RO Onyx, with each product series optimized for different application scenarios,” he concluded.
According to the manufacturer, Onyx modules will be available in the Netherlands and northern Europe. There is still no forecast of the availability of new solar panels on the Brazilian market.
