LONGi launched on the first day of SNEC PV Power Expo 2021 its Hi-MO N – bifacial module with monocrystalline cells using TOPCon type N technology. The fair is being held at the Shanghai International Convention Center, in Shanghai, China.
According to the manufacturer, the Hi-MO N – designed for bass LCOE for large-scale photovoltaic power plants – maintains 182mm cell and 72-cell panel size. The conversion efficiency is up to 22.3% and the power reaches 570 W.
Furthermore, the company highlighted that the product can achieve greater bifacial gain, better temperature coefficient and good performance at low irradiance, in addition to lower working temperature, better LID (Light Induced Degradation) and PID (Potential Induced Degradation) performance. .
“The energy yield is 2-3% higher than conventional P-type bifacial modules,” LONGi said, adding that the initial year degradation is less than 1% and the linear degradation is less than 0.4%.
“Calculated over a 30-year life cycle, the conversion efficiency of Hi-MO N panels will be 2,45% higher than that of other conventional products on the market”, highlighted the manufacturer.
Other advantages
LONGi further reported that Hi-MO N can minimize costs associated with structures, cable, inverter and labor.
“Its high conversion efficiency can increase installed capacity by more than 3.5% in areas of limited space and reduce BOS (Balance of System) costs as well as AC equipment and operations and maintenance costs throughout the cycle life of the plants”.
