According to data from ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency), the solar plants It is wind respond for most of the expansion seen in August, of 650.14 MW.
More than half (57%) of power added to the electrical matrix in the month comes from photovoltaic systems and 220.15 MW (34%) of wind power.
This is the second best brand of the year, surpassed only by the month of July, in which 708.78 MW came into operation. In 2022, until August 31, there was an increase of 3,706 MW in plant capacity.

Another fact highlighted by the agency is that the Brazil surpassed 185 GW in generation capacity. Of this total in operation, 83,26% correspond to plants that generate from renewable sources.
A brand was achieved with the entry into operation of generating units in four plants in three states, released for commercial operation this Tuesday (06).
The units that begin to operate commercially, according to the MME (Ministry of Mines and Energy), demonstrate the multiplicity of sources and locations characteristic of energy generation in the country.
In Minas Gerais, for example, there are the photovoltaic solar plants Janaúba 8, in the city of Janaúba, with 51.45 MW released, and Lar do Sol 7, in Pirapora, with 13.2 MW.
The Quina Wind Power Plant, in Igaporã/BA, received the authorization of four units, totaling 10.8 MW. And the Barra Bonita I Thermoelectric Plant, in the municipality of Pitanga/PR, had two units released, totaling 2.95 MW of power.
O 2022 has new plants in 16 states across the five Brazilian regions. Those with the greatest expansion in electrical generation capacity are, in descending order, Bahia (671.67 MW), Minas Gerais (610.40 MW) and Rio Grande do Norte (521.14 MW).
