PL 5829, which aims to create the Legal Framework for GD (distributed generation) in Brazil, should be voted on next Tuesday (17) and, therefore, be sanctioned by President Jair Bolsonaro (no party) in 2021.
This is what Bárbara Rubim, vice-president of Distributed Generation at ABSOLAR (Brazilian Association of Photovoltaic Solar Energy), said this Thursday (12), during the second day of lectures at the 10th Distributed Generation Forum of the Central-West Region, in Cuiabá (MT).
The executive participated in the negotiation table that made the proposal viable in the National Congress and also said that the biggest water crisis in the last 91 years was the main factor that culminated in the agreement between professionals in the electrical sector and parliamentarians for the GD Legal Framework to be voted on. .
According to her, the text has already been delivered to the president of the Chamber, deputy Arthur Lira (PP-AL), and it was agreed that the document will not undergo any further changes. “A very important agreement was also made to remove any type of obstruction for the project to be voted on and that there will be no efforts to modify or worsen this text when it goes to vote”, he stated.
Rubim also highlighted that due to the consideration of the Tax Reform proposal, the voting date for PL 5829, scheduled for next week, could be delayed. However, he said that as soon as the document goes to vote, both in the Chamber and in the Senate, it will be approved without obstructions from political parties.
