The MME (Ministry of Mines and Energy) approved, this Monday (21), the application of tax incentives for three new solar energy projects in the states of Minas Gerais and Pernambuco, framing them in priority regime and REIDI (Special Incentive Regime for Infrastructure Development).
In Minas Gerais, were included in REIDI the UFVs Morro Preto 1 to Morro Preto 40, which together add up to around 2 GW. The plants are scheduled to complete the works in January 2026.
In the same state, the UFVs Orion I and Orion II also received approval from the MME under REIDI. The projects total around 100 MW and should be ready in the first quarter of 2028.
In the priority regime, the benefit was approved for the UFV Pajeú 4, with 22 MW of installed capacity in Pernambuco. In the same complex, UFVs Pajeú 2, Pajeú 3 and Pajeú 5 have previously received tax incentives from the Federal Government.

Commercial operation
In addition to tax incentives, ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency) also authorized the start of commercial operations at UFV Pedranópolis 2, located in the city of the same name, in the interior of the state of São Paulo. The Agency also granted approval for the start of tests at UFV AC IV, in Jaíba (MG).
