A JA Solar presented, during Intersolar South America 2021, three new features for the solar energy market in Brazil.
According to Fernando Castro, country manager at JA Solar Brasil, among the highlights is the 550 W single-facial module, with an approved ex-tariff (consisting of a temporary reduction in the import tax rate).
“This product will be available from February 2022 in the country. We believe it will be our sales flagship for next year”, he emphasized.
The second novelty, according to the executive, is the 600 W panel. “We have mono and bifacial models, also with ex-tariffs, which will be sold from May 2022”, said Castro.
“They will fit perfectly into large plants, large customers, utilities, filling a gap that JA is currently not participating in in Brazil, thus helping the company’s growth”, he explained.
Regarding the third highlight, the specialist reported that, at the end of October, a local bonded stock was approved, accessible from May 2022, to support emergency demands from main customers.
