O IEE laboratory (Institute of Energy and Environment) of the USP (University of São Paulo) found that the STC peak power of photovoltaic modules Sunova its between 1.14% and 1.65% above specified peak rating.

Second Wellington Araújo, country manager Brazil, “the test was carried out by the university laboratory at the request of Sunova to dispute the release of an unconfirmed product test report, related to peak power, for the brand’s products, which had been carried out by the USP laboratory and which is being circulated among market professionals”.

“It has already been proven that this report is an ineligible document, the client and requesting company informed in the report was not even aware of it, according to the official statement already released by it. The aim was to resolve any doubts regarding the quality of Sunova products”, added Araújo.

“In accordance with the IEC 61215 standard, the modules were subjected to Visual Inspection, Electroluminescence, Initial Stabilization and Maximum Power Determination. We emphasize that to determine the peak power under STC, according to the aforementioned standard, the module must go through the initial stabilization process”, said Rafael Palazzo, technical specialist at Sunova Brasil.

“In possession of the results we can see that the STC peak power is between 1.14% and 1.65% above the specified nominal peak value. In other words, the product complies with the data contained in the technical documentation”, added Palazzo.

Also according to the manufacturer, the brand's panels are certified by TÜV NORD, a global authority, and the SQI laboratory, accredited by ILAC-MRA and CNAS.

Sunova further reinforced that its products are provided with a 15-year warranty period on product and process quality, as well as 25 years on performance, along with reinsurance of these warranties provided by renowned insurers Ariel-Re and Lloyd's.

“Therefore, if any product quality problems occur within the warranty period and are confirmed, we, as Sunova Solar, will bear the corresponding responsibility,” he concluded.
