The Tiradentes Film Festival (MG), which will take place from January 19 to 27, 2024, will feature its 27th edition and a Brazilian 100% clean energy solution from Tecnogera, a Brazilian company specializing in the supply of temporary energy.

The technology, developed 100% in Brazil, has an energy storage system in lithium batteries that provides energy without pollutant emissions.

According to the company, the solution reuses batteries used in the mobility sector, such as those from electric vehicles, which are at the end of their life cycle.

In total, approximately 1 MWh of clean energy will be generated to power the loads at Cine Praça, a space open to visitors located in Tiradentes

The battery energy storage system is a more sustainable solution that does not need to use diesel generators, which are widely used in large events as a complementary source of energy for supply, and guarantees continuous energy supply.

“In addition to being efficient, the system is sustainable and solves a major problem of disposing of batteries at the end of their useful life, which can now be used for reuse”, comments Arthur Lavieri, CEO of Tecnogera.

“The equipment we developed unites the two ends of our business and reinforces our expertise and credibility in renting generators and storage units to supply temporary energy”, he added.

According to the company, this will be the first public event not to use diesel generators for energy security, necessary for the projection of its films without interruption.

“The exhibition represents a central place in the audiovisual history of Brazil, and now it is also a pioneer in the practical feasibility of sustainable innovation carried out in our country”, comments Raquel Hallak, organizer of the event.

During the nine days of the event, a selection of one hundred films will be presented, covering feature films, medium films and short films. The sessions will take place in previews and thematic shows, distributed in three cinematic spaces spread across the city: Cine-Praça, Cine-Tenda and Cine-Teatro, which will also have technology to guarantee energy supply.
