Mato Grosso do Sul signs PPP for the use of solar energy in public buildings

The State Government also presented a plan to achieve net zero carbon emissions by the end of 2030

O Government of Mato Grosso do Sul signed a PPP (Public-private partnership) for maintenance and operation in solar energy systems in physical structures of the public administration state. O contract will be valid for 23 years and involved investments of around R$ 970 thousand. 

In total, more than 1,400 units of low tension of the state government. They are: 96% from Detran units; 95% from Military Police units; 95% of Civil Police units; 97% from Fire Department units and 79% from state schools.

The Government of Mato Grosso do Sul also presented, this week, the “MS Renewable” – a plan that provides zero emissions net carbon in the state until the end of 2030. 

The document provides a diagnosis of the energy sector in the region with information on its main sources (hydroelectric, thermoelectric, wind, photovoltaic, biomass and biogas), as well as energy generation models (centralized and distributed) and a statewide overview of demand and energy supply.
