It was released last Tuesday (26) by Nexen the “N+S” program (Nexen more sustainable), which encourages sustainable actions internally and externally.

According to Ítalo de Pra Neto, general director of Nexen, the project encourages everyone to do their part to take care of the planet.

“We seek to have sustainability in our DNA and in our values, bringing the vision of a better world into our daily lives, starting with ourselves”, highlights Neto.

For Karla Cristina Pintro, People Management coordinator at Nexen, these actions aim to contribute to society, and encourage employees to participate.

“Socio-environmental responsibility goes far beyond the economic obligations that the company carries out in the environment in which it operates”, highlights Karla.

The project encompasses actions that connect different audiences, such as the Trail, clothing campaign, milk carton collections and partnerships with Tampets and Apae.

Nexen Trail

Held in February, the Nexen Trail takes employees from Chapecó (headquarters) and Araquari (branch) to take a morning trail, generating contact with nature and awareness of why they should take such care of the environment.

Winter clothing campaign

Until 01/06, Nexen's headquarters and branch will function as a collection point for warm clothing in good condition, which will be destined for people in needy neighborhoods in Chapecó and Araquari (cities where the units are located).

In addition to collecting clothing, the units are also a collection point for long life boxes (milk boxes), which will be destined for Brasil Sem Frestas (Chapecó hub), a non-profit project formed by volunteers that aims to isolate walls in needy homes.

Tampets and Apae

Another highlight was the collection point for plastic caps, intended for NGO Tampets, which uses the funds raised to neuter stray animals.

These company units are also a collection point for metallic seals, which are intended for Apae Chapecó, sell this material and use the value to purchase iyou like wheelchair for your students.
