New line of photovoltaic inverters for residential applications

Lower voltage operation allows the system to operate at low irradiance
Nova linha de inversores fotovoltaicos para aplicações residenciais

Kstar, a manufacturer of photovoltaic inverters, presents to the Brazilian market its new BluE-G line of equipment aimed at microgeneration applications, with powers from 1 kW to 8 kW. The company will participate in the Intersolar South America 2021 (stand C3.68).

One of the special features of this family of inverters, in addition to the attractive and modern design, is the ability to operate at low voltages. This is especially important for the flexibility of photovoltaic projects.

With an expanded operating voltage range, it is possible to adapt the inverter to projects with strings of varying sizes.

Furthermore, lower voltage operation allows the system to operate with low irradiance, optimizing energy generation in the morning and afternoon, effectively increasing the number of daily operating hours of the photovoltaic system.

Low voltage and high current

In addition to the ability to operate with lower voltage values, as mentioned previously, the BluE-G line inverters are prepared to operate with higher power modules that are coming to the market.

Old modules in the 450 W range normally had maximum power currents of around 8 A, while new generations of modules, with powers from 550 W (typically) already require inverters with current capacity in the range of 10 A to 15 A per string, as applicable.

Operating with maximum power currents above 10 A is a current need in the inverter market and KSTAR has already anticipated it, updating its products with the new BluE-G line.

Kstar's BluE-G family utilizes the Solarman monitoring platform, which is employed by more than 1 million users worldwide.

According to the manufacturer, communication between the inverter and the platform is robust and reliable, using data encryption. The product offers the possibility of using 4G communication, which proves to be an interesting alternative for places that do not have cable internet.

Through the Solarman platform, the user can easily access information about the health of the system and energy generation. Information can be visualized in graphics in a clear and user-friendly way.

Furthermore, it is still possible to view the information in the palm of your hand through applications available for cell phones.
