What to expect for the solar sector in 2021?

There would be no light if it weren't for darkness. Lulu Santos' phrase is from the 1980s and illustrates our 2020 very well. We started the year under the shadow of political-economic uncertainties, but that's what experience is for. As long as we can see, we don't stop walking. With this in mind, Aldo Solar began 2020 by strengthening ties with the world's largest suppliers to continue offering the best in the world in equipment, technology and use of solar energy. Despite the lack of light, our “north” is already established: increasingly encouraging the act of producing cleaner and cheaper electrical energy from sunlight.

What darkness can challenge the power of the Astro-King?

In the first half of the year, thicker clouds covered the world with the threat posed by the new coronavirus and the Covid-19 pandemic. But, friend, we are talking about solar energy, sunlight! What darkness can challenge the power of the Astro-King? This brilliance allowed us to get through the crisis and perfectly see the path that led Aldo to distribute more than 100,000 electricity generators from the sun. It's not little. In seven years, the source generated more than R$ 34 billion in investments and accumulated 200 thousand jobs and more than R$ 10 billion in revenue for public authorities. Aldo is very proud to be part of a movement in which Brazil has been recognized as an important player since, in just two years, it jumped from the 26th to the 16th largest market in the world, according to data from ABSOLAR (Brazilian Energy Association Solar Photovoltaic). The solar energy sector is expected to experience a growth of 50% in DG (distributed generation), compared to last year. The market is expected to reach 4.5 GW of installed power with 360 thousand consumer units. There were 180 thousand new units added this year alone. Further proof that the dark paths proposed by the pandemic are no match for the intensity of light and energy that come from the Sun.

But what to expect for the solar sector in 2021?

With the light at the end of the tunnel represented by the long-awaited vaccines, the darkness of Covid-19 will be overcome, from the point of view of the solar energy sector and depending on the intensity of Aldo's activities. The company continues with the vision that it is an active and important part of the process of popularizing the concepts of converting solar energy into electricity, one of the driving technologies for sustainable development and a tool for the various productive sectors (agribusiness, industry, commerce) , people in their homes and even public authorities can have more sustainability by producing their own clean and renewable electrical energy. The sector is expected to grow by at least another 4.5 GW and 360 thousand new consumer units in 2021 alone.

Aldo and the solar sector in 2021

In 2021, Aldo wants to sell at least another 100 thousand solar energy generators, favoring the generation of more than 1 GW of installed power. There would be more than 30,000 new jobs throughout the chain, according to information from ABSOLAR. Difficult? Not so much! After all, 2020 would be difficult and our own light guided us to growth. Darkness doesn't scare us. Our energy is infinite, it comes from the Sun and is on our side. With it, we continue to prove that it is in adversity that light spreads even better. On behalf of all of Aldo, we wish our partners, customers and friends a Christmas full of love and a 2021 full of health, success and light!
