A OAB-SP (Brazilian Bar Association of the State of São Paulo) launched this month, in the Institution's electronic diary, four new notices to the construction of solar energy generation plants to thesupply the Order's units in different regions of the State.

O objective of the Institution is that all houses of law 100% are powered by renewable energy by the end of 2025. “The total value of the project is low if we consider the benefits in the medium term”, projects Alexandre de Sá Domingues, director-treasurer of the section.

You new notices aim at construction of ten plants thatthere will be 185 service points of the OAB.

The specialized companies that are hired will analyze the locations available for installing the plants, as well as infrastructure design, equipment installation and operation.

In total, there will be 18 new plants by the end of 2025 that will enable service to more than 500 points of the institution that will generate savings of R$ 2.25 million per year.

“The four new notices represent around 40% of the service points that we will benefit from this project. In addition to the great financial savings, which are very important for investing in other areas and guaranteeing more benefits for the São Paulo legal profession, this is a fundamental measure for us to contribute to the preservation of the environment”, highlights Sá Domingues.

Companies that win the request will have to indicate the best micro or mini plant model.

Photovoltaic projects started in 2023

The project of energy transition of OAB SP began in March 2023, with the construction of a pilot plant at the institution's holiday camp, in the city of Três Fronteiras, close to the border with Mato Grosso do Sul.

Since it began operating, the plant has generated more than 112,000 MWh, a saving of more than R$ 12 thousand per month.

In addition to the plants that will be installed, six Subsections of OAB SP have their own solar energy generation: Aguaí, Miracatu, Santa Fé do Sul, Santa Rita do Passa Quatro, Tatuí and Teodoro Sampaio.

In these locations, solar panels supply the demand of the Subsections, but do not generate energy for the distribution network.
