Osda Solar announces opening of office in Brazil

Company opens office in Brazil and projects growth in the national photovoltaic sector

A Osda Solar, a multinational in the photovoltaic sector, in the last week of June opened an office in Brazil, in the city of São Paulo, with the aim of serving customers more efficiently and investing in the expansion of the national market.

Osda also has offices using this model in other countries such as the United States, Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Poland, Bangladesh, Thailand, India and Yemen. Therefore, the Brazilian office is the company's tenth to open in this format.

Furthermore, it is planned to install a warehouse by the beginning of 2023. According to the company, this location aims to provide products for immediate delivery to meet the needs of demands more urgent. The company's aim is to strengthen itself in the sector, through some factors such as modernization, constant investment, establishing major partnerships and serving all types of consumers.

“Our portfolio is quite broad and consists of high-efficiency modules with 166 to 210 cells, with powers ranging from 465 W, 550 W to 670 W, mono and bifacial, in addition to the line of inverters and batteries”, he explained. Regis Gonzaga, country manager at Osda in Brazil.

The institution is present in more than 100 countries and will now open a modern factory in Shandong province in July 2022 that will have a manufacturing capacity of up to 10 GW per year. “We will practically double our production capacity in 2022 and in 2023 another factory will be opened in Yiwu”, highlighted Gonzaga.

Currently, the Brazil has around 16 GW of distributed and centralized generation in operation which represents a 7.8% portion of our energy matrix.

Also according to Osda, the expectation is that in 2026 Brazil will rise to 5th global position among countries with the highest installed power, adding 64 GW to its current reach. “This data gives us a horizon of how much space, benefits and opportunities the sector will offer and demand in the coming years. The photovoltaic sector will continue to grow a lot”, added Gonzaga.
