PL aims to expand the use of solar energy in the state of Rio de Janeiro

Bittencourt highlighted that encouraging the use of clean energy in the state contributes to the environment

A bill is being processed at Alerj (Legislative Assembly of the State of Rio de Janeiro) that aims to expand the use of solar energy on properties located in the state.

The proposal, authored by state deputy Jair Bittencourt (PP), guarantees consumers who purchase properties in the state the registration of installation of new photovoltaic systems linked to the CPF and/or CNPJ, as long as there is technical availability.

Also according to the project, if technical unfeasibility is proven, the electricity concessionaire will have 365 days to make the necessary adjustments.

Bittencourt highlighted that encouraging the use of clean energy in the state contributes to the environment. “The installation and adaptation of solar energy systems in more than one property contributes to savings by reducing costs, in addition to the undeniable advantage to the environment”, highlighted the deputy.

According to a survey carried out by ABSOLAR (Brazilian Association of Photovoltaic Solar Energy), based on data from ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency), Rio de Janeiro is the eighth state that uses solar energy the most in the country, with 144.4 MW. of installed power.
