A Renew took advantage of this year's Intersolar to show the public the latest developments in its portfolio, with an emphasis on the Reno Smart Grid system – a charging station supplied with solar energy and which integrates carport, inverter, battery and charger systems.

This is a solution with national 100% assembly and which had a prototype at the Renovigi stand so that customers and partners could learn more about the technology. The product was developed in partnership with Incharge.

The operation of the station comprises, on average, 15 sets of solar panels. Through them, all the energy generated is stored in the battery bank, made up of modules, coupled to an inverter which, in addition to monitoring the energy produced, powers the electric vehicles through a charger.

“It is a solution that has several configuration possibilities depending on what the customer wants, such as, for example, optimizing the use of energy generated in the system. If there is excess energy [in the residential solar system], it is possible to transfer it to the car”, highlighted Eduardo Pina, president of Incharge.

For Thiago Dávi, board member at Renovigi, technology represents a concept that he himself calls: the house of the future. “Solar energy is captured by the carport and then passes through the hybrid inverter, which, in turn, can send this energy to both storage and the grid. The energy generated will also be used to charge the electric car. We really believe that this will be the future of residences”, he commented.

The equipment will be available for sale from 2022 in two models: 7.7 KWp (single-phase) or 22 KWp (three-phase). Recharging time can vary from 1 to 12 hours, depending on the battery capacity of the vehicle in question. “It is an intelligent platform for electric mobility, which manages the solar energy generated and consumed and which communicates with the inverter monitoring system of each consumer”, explains Gustavo Müller Martins, president of the company.
