A Revolusolar and the IEI Brazil (International Energy Initiative) are working together on a project to build a effective public policy on distributed solar energy aimed at the low-income population.

Taking advantage of this moment in which the Federal Government is studying the implementation of a Social Solar Energy Program, both are joining forces to systematize the experiences of Revolusolar and other initiatives, mapping challenges and good practices.

Based on this survey, they prepared a document with proposals for the future government program. On March 21st, they held a collective construction workshop attended by social leaders, representatives of institutions, NGOs, energy companies and public authorities to expand the scope of these suggestions, which were incorporated into the document.

According to the companies, they are currently in Brasília delivering these proposals in an agenda of meetings with Federal Government ministries and the National Congress.

“In a very productive week, we spoke with members of the Ministries of Mines and Energy, the Civil House, the Environment and Climate Change and the Planning and Budget, as well as federal deputies”, they highlighted.
