System with BYD batteries will power an environmental reserve in the Goiás cerrado

The natural region will have batteries and modules that will power the entire project construction
Project 100% off-grid, was designed to meet a daily consumption of 24 kWh

A resident of Alto Paraíso (GO), lawyer by training, public servant and active in environmental associations, Flávia Cantal is the owner of a Private Natural Heritage Reserve (RPPN), in the municipality of Cavalcante called “Avá-Canoeiro”. The lawyer decided invest in sustainable buildings on site with photovoltaic system.

According to the lawyer, the region does not receive energy from the public grid in full. “I have no intention of connecting to the traditional electricity grid, which is why I am looking for a company that is a reference in quality and has the knowledge to meet demand”, explains Flávia.

O project was developed by the company Solar Fountain, with equipment from manufacturer BYD. The space will also feature the first wild animal release center (WINGS).

The 100% off-grid project was designed to meet a daily consumption of 24 kWh and average monthly consumption of 720 kWh and will be installed after completion of the work, with two B-Box 13.8 kWh lithium batteries.

BYD announces production of N-Type TOPCon photovoltaic module

The entire project is made up of 30 BYD modules 455 Wp MGK36, 2 Victron Energy SmartSolar 250/100 charge controllers, 1 Victron Energy 230 V Inverter/Charger, 1 Cerbo GX (communication center) and 1 GX Touch (visualization accessory).

Electrical engineer Natália Maestá, founder of Fonte Solar, says that off-grid projects are the company's focus. “I believe in doing things differently, anticipating the future with solutions that allow the supply of high-quality energy to remote locations, which is why Fonte Solar was created.”

Batteries as solutions

For Lucas Portella, from the BYD Energy sales team, the company delivers differentiators for the market nationally, with a focus on security in projects. “We are world leaders in the manufacture of Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries, tested as the safest in the world”, he points out.

They are an excellent solution for the market, especially in terms of storage, as is the case with the Pousada”, he explains. Also according to Portella, the manufacturer delivers a difference in batteries with the new BMS (Battery Management System).

The system corresponds to intelligent management of temperature control, amount of energy received, data storage in the system and error codes that help identify problems and correct them.
