Trina tracking systems are compatible with high power panels

The manufacturer of photovoltaic panels, Trina Solar, received the technological analysis report of the single-axis tracking systems, Agile-1P and Vanguard-2P. The document confirmed the systems' compatibility with high-power panels.

The report was published by DNV (Det Norske Veritas), international classification society in the segment of energy and certificate providers. 

“The new next-generation Agile and Vanguard series of TrinaTracker represent an upgrade and an important milestone in the history of photovoltaic products,” highlights César Hidalgo, Head of the Solar Systems Engineering Department at DNV.

For the evaluation, DNV looked at all aspects of the trackers, including design, structural calculations, supply chain capacity, quality, environmental safety, control systems, reliability assurance, O&M (operation and maintenance), performance and market prospects.

The TrinaTracker's life cycle was also evaluated, according to the report, the equipment's design, manufacturing, and sales service certificates correspond with international quality and environmental management standards.

“DNV’s comprehensive assessment confirms the technical advancement, high reliability and system performance of TrinaTracker, valuing the company globally, from a financial point of view, within the solar energy market”, says Duan Shunwei, Head of the Solar Energy Business Unit. The equipment uses the FMEA methodology (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis) in its product development activities, establishing high standards, best practices and rigorous optimization records in the industry.

According to the quarterly report of Trina Solar's demonstration project in Tongchuan, China, verified by CGC (China General Certificate), TrinaTracker's intelligent “SuperTrack” algorithm generates an increase of up to 8% in energy gain when compared to traditional algorithms .  

“TrinaTracker has already defined a cutting-edge technological path to continuously meet the needs of its customers”, adds Shunwei.
