This Tuesday (14), SMA launches the update of its inverters with integrated ShadeFix to optimize energy yield in shaded photovoltaic systems. The new technology maintains the production of the string of photovoltaic modules and minimizes losses caused by partial shading.
This update will enable the inverter to detect the point of maximum global power present in a partially shaded photovoltaic array.
According to Pedro Alves, Country Manager at SMA in Brazil, the update will bring greater use of the inverters. “SMA inverters with ShadeFix allow greater energy production even when the systems are used in shaded areas, without investing anything extra for it.
ShadeFix technology represents an important evolution in the software and hardware of SMA inverters. The company, once again, establishes itself as one of the largest providers of technological solutions in the solar energy market” explains Alves.
The SMA update with ShadeFix technology is now available to users of the brand's inverters in Brazil. The details of how to update and how the technology works will be explained in the webinar that will be held this Tuesday (14), at 3pm. The webinar will feature the participation of Canal Solar.
