SmartEn at Intersolar 2024: leading discussions on the future of energy

A SmartEn, organization contributor from the Intersolar, was significantly present at the 2024 edition of the event, held from June 19th to 21st in Munich, Germany. Acting as one of main contributors for the EM-Power Europe Conference committee, SmartEn led discussions about smart grids and prosumers, shaping the future of the electricity sector.

EM-Power Europe, organized by SmartEn, served as a platform meeting point for various actors in the energy market. Network operators, utilities, utility companies, installers, consultants and service providers gathered for discuss the latest trends and technologies aimed at modernization and digitalization of the electrical grid.

O main focus was the transformation of the conventional electrical network in a smart and flexible network. This integrated network would have the capacity in incorporate prosumers, i.e, consumers what also produce energy, as well as electric mobility and energy conversion solutions for heating. By centralizing these elements, it would be possible to create a complete and self-sufficient renewable energy system.

In addition to the conference, SmartEn also marked physical presence at the event for the second year in a row. The highlight was the Pavilion dedicated to Demand-Side Flexibility, a space shared with SmartEn member companies, such as Cleanwatts, CyberGrid, Deftpower and others.

The success of Intersolar 2024 reflects the dynamic growth of the renewable energy industry. The event organizers celebrated the record number of exhibitors and visitors, highlighting the momentum that the energy transition is gaining.

“The vision of a 24/7 renewable energy supply is becoming a reality. Our exhibitors and visitors will take this message to the world and continue to drive the energy transition in their countries,” said Markus Elsässer, CEO of Solar Promotion GmbH.

“The decarbonization of industry and life in general is a global challenge that can only be overcome by working together,” added Hanna Böhme, CEO of FWTM, co-organizer of the event. “Once again, The smarter E Europe in Munich has created a platform to bring together talent and innovators from around the world. The inspiration generated here will help us build the future of energy”, he concluded.
