Sofar introduces ESS with extended storage capacity without recharging

A Sofar presented your new ESS PowerAll residential system and the monitoring system Sofar Cloud at Intersolar Europe, held in Munich, Germany.

The three-phase PowerAll has plug-and-play installation for cost savings, built-in battery optimizer for automatic calibration, extended storage capacity without recharging and parallel redundancy to avoid single points of failure.

“In addition to the separation of electricity and cells, airgel pads and explosion-proof valves to mitigate thermal runaway risks, there is a Comprehensive cell temperature monitoring for enhanced protection”, highlighted the manufacturer.

The equipment also has Modular design for seamless expansion of power and capacity, active equalization for easy integration of batteries with varying specifications, and a built-in automatic switch for uninterrupted backup power.

“Intelligence is at the heart of the new PowerAll, with a Multifunctional EMS which enables power management of EV AC charging, rapid monitoring with real-time data readout in just 100ms, and hassle-free maintenance for quick updates,” they added.

Sofar Cloud

Sofar Cloud, aimed at residential, C&I and utility-scale applications, offers an integrated management solution, featuring real-time updates of operational parameters and storage of 10 years of historical data for failure analysis.

With automatic update capabilities and batch job processing, the system simplifies operations, reduces costs and provides real-time fault alerts with over 500 solutions for quick resolutions.

According to the company, the solution also supports mobile operations to monitor millions of devices simultaneously, allowing remote control to minimize maintenance costs.

“The plug-and-play configuration process, multi-device compatibility and adaptive interaction make it easy for global users to effortlessly deploy and manage their energy systems,” they highlighted.

Built on a robust architecture, the product ensures stability with independent services, fault isolation, and self-healing capabilities to resolve issues in a timely manner.

SSL/TLS certificate encryption increases security against hacker attacks, while testing, deploying, and maintaining individual services enables rapid identification and resolution of issues.

Sofar PowerMagic

According to the company, PowerMagic is equipped with an efficient liquid cooling system and intelligent temperature control. The modular design allows for seamless expansion on both the AC and DC sides, accommodating up to six units in parallel and a maximum storage capacity of 8 MWh. Its compatibility with larger cells and an anti-condensation design ensure longevity and lower LCOE.

Sofar PowerMaster

The PowerMaster has a 3+2 safety system, which guarantees uninterrupted operation at all times. “Notably, the hybrid air-liquid cooling system sets an industry standard by reducing heat dissipation loss by approximately 30%,” they noted.

Additionally, the modular design allows for flexible expansion, enabling single-chamber storage capacity of up to 3.93 MWh for various capacity needs.

“Convinced by its proven ability to deliver significant cost savings and ensure a stable power supply, industry partners PVSelected, EFFEKTA and Energynat have signed MoUs with Sofar, emphasizing the company's strength and influence in the European market and marking a crucial chapter in its journey towards the global ambition of zero emissions”, emphasized the manufacturer.

Frank Yu, Executive Vice President of Sofar, believes that the launch of 3-phase PowerAll and Sofar Cloud represents another step towards global zero emissions goals through a portfolio of all-scenario solutions and clean energy integration .

“This demonstrates our commitment to accelerating the penetration of affordable renewable energy. Taking advantage of our R&D (Research and Development) capacity, we hope to continue innovating and bringing solutions to fuel a sustainable future for everyone”, he stated.

Participation in SNEC

Sofar was also present at SNEC, the largest solar energy fair in the world, held in Shanghai, China. During the event, they presented their equipment portfolio, with emphasis on Sofar Cloud.

“We are excited to introduce the Sofar Cloud system, a game changer in energy management solutions. This system reflects our commitment to providing innovative solutions for diverse needs. By integrating digital technology and renewable energy, we continue to lead the industry revolution and empower global customers to make a positive impact on the environment,” concluded Yu.
