Inverter manufacturer SolarEdge, in partnership with Schneider Electric, has developed a solution that will allow homeowners to scale and optimize residential energy resources such as solar and storage.
According to the companies, the product aims to accelerate the North American residential PV market and provide homeowners with seamless energy management.
The solution, called Square D Energy Center, features an app that allows users to monitor, manage and control battery storage, backup operations, generator usage and perform intelligent energy management.
“We can provide a seamless energy ecosystem for installers and system owners while accelerating the solar installation experience across the country,” highlighted Peter Mathews, general manager of SolarEdge North America.
“By combining our expertise with SolarEdge, we are ready to meet customer demands while moving the needle on our shared vision of a new all-electric, sustainable energy world,” added Annette Clayton, CEO of Schneider Electric.
Initially, the two companies aim to meet market needs in California, where solar energy is now required in every home.
The Square D Energy Center will be available for the North American market in spring 2021. There is no forecast for Brazil yet.
