Reduce the frequency of module cleaning and maintenance and being from easy installation, simply fitting it into the frame. These are some of the advantages of Smart Drain, an innovative solution launched by SolarGroup.

The product, made of polypropylene in a single injected plastic part, it also has protection against ultraviolet radiation and drains accumulated water.

The equipment also preventshot-spot effect birth and provides more kWh in generation. “This is the first national 100% solution. It is patented, adapting to all module frame thicknesses: 30mm, 35mm and 40mm”, reported the manufacturer.

How did the idea to create the product come about?

According to Norberto da Costa, Marketing & Sales Manager at Solar Group, the idea came from observation in the field. “We have very close contact with integrators and our experts are always attentive to needs.”

“We saw that this product could bring more gains in energy generation, with a relatively low investment. We put R&D (Research and Development) to develop and the result is there – a simple and very efficient equipment”, he highlighted.
