Sunova launches N-Type module for the Brazilian market

The new line, ideal for residential and commercial systems, has a 30-year warranty

A Sunova presented to the market, last November, its new line of modules, called Thor, focused on the Brazilian market. The product has 30 year warranty and is now available for sale in the country.

According to the company, the low thermal coefficient of the Thor N-Type module makes the equipment perfectly suited to Brazil's hot climate.

“The Thor is ideal for residential and commercial roofs, as well as ground-mounted or floating systems when using the larger size. Its N-type solar cells do not have a natural LID, which can increase energy generation”, explains Wellington Araújo, regional director of Sunova Solar Brasil.

Sunova will open a warehouse in Brazil to guarantee supply

The new panel can also generate 10 to 30% of additional energy, compared to conventional P-type modules, and is guaranteed by the manufacturer to have a degradation in the first year of less than 2.5%.

“The linear power guaranteed by Sunova is greater than 84.8% in 25 years or, in the case of Thor modules, up to 87.4% in 30 years”, comments Spring Huang, regional manager for Latin America.

Long-term innovation

The manufacturer Sunova, which has been in Brazil since 2019, recently reached 1 GW of modules installed. For Araújo, the brand's success is based on three pillars.

“We have a 15-year product and process quality guarantee, which stands out in the market, the security of our warranties with Ariel-Re, which gives installers confidence, and, most importantly, our strong pre and post technical support -sale”, he says.

He also reveals the company's long-term plans, which set the goal of achieving Tier 1 in Brazil in 2023, due to its close relationship with the photovoltaic segment and its customers.

“With a team of nine people, we at Sunova Brasil are always close to our customers. And while we are on the way, we already provide quality and reliability in terms of products and services from a Tier 1 player”, he emphasizes.
