In his report on the 1st quarter in 2024, The BNEF (BloombergNEF) announced that the Sunova Solar is still listed as manufacturer of photovoltaic modules Tier 1.

While panel manufacturers' 43% were removed from the list, Sunova stated that it met the new criteria of providing a minimum of six projects with 5MW or more.

“Becoming a Tier 1 company in the third quarter of last year was our first major milestone. Remaining as Tier 1 under the new, more stringent condition of having to supply projects of 5 MW or more really shows that customers and financial institutions trust Sunova Solar,” he highlighted William Sheng, CEO of the company.

“Our partners and their banks are convinced of the quality of our modules and the financial stability of the company. We are proud to be recognized as a company that produces some of the best quality and most reliable solar technologies on the market”, he highlighted.

Mike Song, president of Sunova Solar, added that with 5.5 GW of panel production capacity in operation and a further 4.5 GW under construction, the manufacturer is prepared for the demand for large-scale solar parks.

“This is further supported by the cell factory we just opened in early January. Located in Yibin, Sichuan province, it has 9 GW of capacity and allows direct control of the quality of cells and related supply chains,” he said.

“Our customer-centric approach is the focus of our actions. With the growing demand for our modules for utility-scale applications, we see our dedication to putting our customers at the forefront of everything we do paying off,” concluded Song.
