Inverters are compatible with high power panels, above 500 W

German manufacturer Sunways announced for the Brazilian market a new series of single-phase inverters for residential photovoltaic systems.

This series includes the STS-7KTL, STS-8KTL, STS-9KTL, STS-10KTL and STS-11KTL models – with powers from 7 kW to 11 kW and which have a maximum efficiency of 98.1% and a European efficiency of 97. 6%.

The equipment has two MPPT inputs, which accept voltages in the range of 80 V to 600 V, depending on the model, and allow up to 150% of overload. The maximum input current is up to 15 A, which allows compatibility with high power panels, above 500 W.

According to the company, the product has multiple built-in protection mechanisms such as overvoltage, overcurrent, and overtemperature protection, as well as reverse polarity protection, ground fault protection, and network monitoring features that ensure stable performance.

Furthermore, the housings of the inverters and the Wi-Fi communication module are made of a molded structure that prevents the entry of water or humidity, in addition to being coated with an anti-corrosion film – ensuring safe use outdoors.

Sunways also pointed out that the models have a wide operating temperature range – from -30 °C to 60 °C – allowing use in all types of climates.

The STS-7 ~ 11KTL series also features control and monitoring functions, including remote updating and configuration, fault detection and data retransmission from the breakpoint – which, according to the manufacturer, can quickly resolve most problems, enabling reduction cost and time savings.

The manufacturer also reported that the inverters have top-of-the-line components, including IGBT from Infineon, DSP from Texas Instruments and ARM chip from STMicroelectronics.
