The inverter manufacturer Sunways signed a commercial agreement with the electronics distributor Route 66, making it the official distributor of the manufacturer in Brazil. The objective of the partnership is joint development of the solar market.

The agreement presents advantages for both companies, with a focus on expanding their products in the solar photovoltaic market in Brazil. Negotiations began in August 2021.

The first container of products sent by Sunways was received by Route 66 in October of the same year and by the end of November it had already sold out. In total, 400 pieces were sold in just one month, achieving record time at the distributor.

The partnership with Sunways offers Route 66 the opportunity to offer its customers a difference in equipment, focusing on quality, technology and reliability.

Carlos Trotta, Country Manager Brazil at Sunways, comments on the partnership with Route 66.

“When we presented Sunways products to the company, we immediately concluded that we would have a long partnership ahead. In addition to having excellent delivery logistics throughout the country, Route 66 already had a large network of installers who already purchased photovoltaic kits, as well as presenting the profile that Sunways desires as a distributor, focusing on quality and providing services”, says Trotta.

According to Christian Mello, commercial manager at Route 66, the partnership is flowing with excellence. “The German technology that is used greatly increases the reliability of the products. We, as distributors, are very happy with the results so far, we intend to expand the partnership”, he comments.

The commercial manager also reports that, since the beginning of the partnership, the distributor has achieved revenue of approximately 25% and continues to increase. “The expectation is for a lot of growth, we already have customers who ask for the product due to its safety”, he stated.

Sunways has been part of the global solar market for over 29 years, with emphasis on Europe, manufacturing high quality and efficient inverters.

At the beginning of 2021, the supplier expanded its market share. Given the perception that Brazil is a growing exponent in the solar energy segment, the country has become one of Sunways' major focuses this year.

According to Carlos Trotta, “the partnership with Route 66 will provide service from São Paulo to the southern region of the country, through its various branches spread throughout the southeast”.

Trotta also comments that the partnership between the two companies has already developed a training road show in 2021, and “for 2022 there is a plan to continue these actions, focusing on an important attribute for Sunways, which is training” , to be continued.

This year, Sunways continues to aim to offer a complete line of single-phase and three-phase hybrid inverters, thus expanding the distributors' sales range.

“We will be participating in DG Forums throughout Brazil and also at Intersolar in August in São Paulo and greatly expanding partnerships for training”, concludes Trotta.
