A Swift, a frozen food marketing company, reached its hundredth store with solar panels.

The result is part of the company strategy to have until 2025 all the your establishments supplied by renewable sources.

The initiative is the result of a partnership with Âmbar Energia, a company that offers solutions for the sector, and which (to date) has already invested R$ 50 million in Swift solar energy projects, out of a total of R$ 105 million.

In all, have already been installed more of 4,800 solar panels about the Swift store roofs, occupying an area of 20 thousand square meters.

Together, photovoltaic systems add up to a installed capacity of 2.3 MWp, enough to provide electricity for 250 families.

In 2022, the company's solar roofs prevented the emission of more than 643 tons of CO2, the equivalent of planting 922 trees per year.

Currently, Swift has establishments to sell its products in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Goiás and the Federal District. The set is made up of physical stores, furniture (vans) and points of sale store in store located within partner retailers.

Sustainable actions

In addition to the 100 establishments with their own generation through solar panels on the roofs, Swift stores are also supplied by solar farms.

At the moment, 45 units of the brand receive energy from photovoltaic plants, such as UFV Âmbar Porto Feliz and UFV Âmbar Saltinho, in the interior of São Paulo.

In addition to the use of renewable energy, the company's establishments bring together other initiatives to make their operations more sustainable.

To reduce electricity consumption, each unit has a low consumption refrigerators of energy and with CO2 emissions up to 44% lower than traditional models.

O parking of stores uses the so-called “Green Floor”, a concrete block developed by JBS Ambiental that contains plastic from product packaging in its formulation in nature that could not be recycled.
