A ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency) approved, this Tuesday (28), the opening of Public Consultation to discuss the proposal for Periodic Tariff Review of Enel SP – distributor that serves around 7.6 million consumer units in the state of São Paulo.

According to the Agency, the proposal indicates a average reduction of 1% in concessionary tariffs. The new tariffs come into force from the 4th of July.

Furthermore, they announced that the definition of the corresponding limits of the continuity indicators of Equivalent Duration of Interruption per Consumer Unit – DEC and Equivalent Frequency of Interruption per Consumer Unit – FEC, for 2024 to 2027, will be discussed.

“The tariff repositioning, prepared in the Periodic Tariff Review, consists of redefining tariffs at a level compatible with the coverage of efficient operational costs and the remuneration of prudent investments made”, reported ANEEL.

According to the Agency, the items that most impacted the calculations for Enel SP's Tariff reduction proposal were the reduction in costs with acquisition, energy distribution and financial components of the previous tariff process.

The average effect of high voltage refers to classes A1 (>= 230 kV), A2 (from 88 to 138 kV), A3 (69 kV) and A4 (from 2.3 to 25 kV). For low voltage, the average includes classes B1 (Residential and low-income residential subclass); and B2 (Rural: subclasses, such as agriculture, rural electrification cooperative, rural industry, public rural irrigation service);

Furthermore, it encompasses B3 (Industrial, commercial, services and other activities, public authorities, public services and own consumption); and B4 (Public lighting).

Public Consultation No. 11/2023 will receive contributions between March 30th and May 15th, and will feature an in-person session on May 11th, to be held in the city of São Paulo, to collect subsidies and information to improve the proposal regarding the Periodic Tariff Review of Enel SP.
