The industrial and commercial warehouse market in Brazil has gained something new: a photovoltaic panel fastener that eliminates the need for holes and changes to the roof structure.
According to Solar Group, the company responsible for manufacturing the product, the support has an easy grounding system that brings more security to the installation, in addition to having a railless fixing mechanism, which makes it more economical. As zipped tiles do not allow holes in the structure, the fastener is only attached to the geometry of the tile with a screw and nut.
“As the work to implement solar systems in industrial and commercial warehouses requires a large number of photovoltaic modules, the speed of installation is a difference in the total cost of the system. And, in this aspect, Zipado Support brings a significant gain in installation time”, explains Raphael Vaz, account manager at Solar Group.

According to Ronaldo Koloszuk, commercial director at Solar Group, the products were adapted to the reality of Brazilian roofs, undergoing a tropicalization process. “In the case of the Zipped Support, a survey was carried out with the largest manufacturers of zipped tiles, in order to find a fastener that would meet the widest range of roof models of this type”, concluded Koloszuk.
To date, the company has sold almost 1 GW of photovoltaic module mounting structures in Brazil.
