The manufacturer Trina Solar was once again named as the module supplier brand with 100% bankability, according to a report published by BNEF (Bloomberg New Energy Finance).
It is the sixth time that the company has reached 100% of bankability in BNEF reports, published since 2012. The manufacturer has been at the top of the list for the last five years.
According to Trina, this means that its modules can help photovoltaic project developers obtain bank financing more easily.
Bankability in the solar sector
The report considers the company's financial strength, the registration of its modules in the area and manufacturers' guarantees as important indicators for financial institutions during their assessment of the bankability of photovoltaic producers.
To carry out the survey, Bloomberg contacted banks, EPCs (Engineering, Purchasing and Construction Management), independent energy suppliers and technical consultants around the world and conducted in-depth interviews with inspectors and technology experts.
Top Performer
Trina Solar was also recognized as Top Performer for product reliability and performance among global photovoltaic module manufacturers from PVEL (PV Evolution Labs), the global solar industry's leading independent testing laboratory.
The company is one of the only solar module manufacturers to earn the recognition for the sixth consecutive time since the designation Top Performer was established.
