Trina Solar is the first company in the world to receive the IEC62941:2019 certificate from TÜV Rheinland, which recognizes the quality of the photovoltaic panel manufacturing system.

According to the manufacturer, IEC 62941 is the only quality standard for systems across the solar industry, and can be compared to ISO 9001, but with a greater focus on photovoltaic technology.

This certification is a set of processes with greater applicability, operability and technology, which provides standards for the design and development of modules; failure probabilities and analysis of consequences; product life cycle; process and testing control; traceability, product reliability and consistency testing; and activities after delivery, among others.

Regarding the audit process, IEC 62941 considers inspection requirements at all stages that affect product quality. At the implementation level, certification brings detailed operating rules to factories, which plays a fundamental role in improving the competitiveness of the manufacturer's products.

Trina has implemented the international standard IEC 62941 on a global scale, establishing a more comprehensive and detailed system to ensure product quality and reliability throughout its entire life cycle.

“The official certificate from TÜV Rheinland makes us feel more confident in our ability to provide consumers with more efficient and reliable products, increasing the competitiveness of Trina products in the market,” highlighted Zhou Wei, Vice President of Quality at Trina Solar.

“Congratulations to Trina Solar for being the first company to achieve the new version of the IEC 62941 certificate from TÜV Rheinland, after the 600 W+ panel was recognized by the industry. These certifications confirm the company's innovation and strength”, highlighted Zhang Yichi, general director of Solar Panels at TÜV Rheinland.

Trina has approved high power panels

Trina Solar also had its Vertex solar panel series, from 500 W to 600 W, passed the TÜV Rheinland complete reliability test.

According to the company, these modules are ultra-high power and had already received the IEC 61215 PV panel performance standard certificate and the IEC 61730 PV panel safety standard certification in March this year.
